Spring Drills

Posted at 16:57 in Sports.

The annual Red and White Scrimmage is this Saturday at 1 pm. I already have my tickets. I can't wait to go. Trey and my dad are coming to the game too. This is the second trip down to Norman for the spring game for Trey and I and I would like to make it an annual event for the 3 of us, my dad, Trey, and me.

There is still no clear-cut starting QB for the Sooners. Insiders are saying that no one will edge out the other two until fall.

Monday's practice was a diamond for Rhett Bomar. He had a 66-yard strike for a touchdown to Travis Wilson and finished the day 9 of 16 for 153 yards 2 TDs and an INT.

Paul Thompson did not seek out the long threat instead going for a short precise attack. That paid off for the senior finishing 14 of 19 with 123 yards 1 touch and 1 pick.

Tommy Grady did not finish as well as the other two yesterday. Tommy is less fleet on his feet than Thompson, which led to 4 sacks. Grady finished 7 of 13 for 63 yards 1 touchdown but was picked twice. Tommy did a nice pass to Jejuan Rankins that was a bullet between 2 defenders for his only touchdown.

Kejuan Jones had a great day as AD continues to rest his shoulder. Jones finished the day with 70 yards rushing including a touchdown scramble and 2 receptions for 44 yards.

The defense is looking good too. The one weak area is getting better as Clint Ingram had 5 tackles, an interception, and 2 passes broken up.

I can't wait for Saturday!!

I love this game!
