Ponca Deal

Posted at 10:21 in Family.

I had a good interview with the guys in Ponca City on Tuesday. That was the first time I had been to the Ponca City refinery. Nice facilities. I am glad I got to go.

I think they could go either way. I clearly do not have the desired experience that they are looking for. I do not have all of the tool sets they need right away. I can learn it all. I can get up to speed but there will be a big learning curve and I have to get up to speed in a hurry! They don't expect me to hit the ground running but they do expect me to hit the ground walking briskly and running soon after that. If I get the job not only will I have to take the fast track of learning VB and C# but I am going to have to find a house and sell my house and train someone to do my current job.

In the mean time... I should hear something today about the SAP job. Again I doubt that I will get that job because of lack of experience. That is my life. I lack the experience and when I do have experience it is either over looked or I am over qualified.

It doesn't take experience to be a father but I got the job anyway. Being a good father is much harder than writing code or granting someone SAP access. Not only that but I even got a sweatshirt that proves that I am the Worlds Greatest Dad. So much for lack of experience.

So I got that going for me!
