Touchdown Trey! WOW!! How 'bout That?
The gutzyist play I've seen all year! And I've seen a lot! Trey got out of bed tonight around 10:15 to take a walk. He just wanted to walk to the chair about 5 feet away. We encouraged him to walk to the door. The nurse said that she wanted him to wallk to the nurse's desk about 50 feet away from the door. She was about to let him off easy but he kept pushing himself. It was much like the kid on Facing the Giants that did the crawl all the way across the field to his surprise. That is what Trey did. Way to go Kiddo! He went the last 10 feet to the desk and the rest of the way back all on his own. We were there just for balance.
I want to check with coach Walkingstick from Nowata and coach Revard from Dewey to see if they can get a ball autographed for him.
Heck they may want a ball signed by Trey!
Trey is my hero!

Comments
Trey, Jay, Christi and Dianne (last but certainly not least),
I just found out about your Blog. I was asking everyone if they heard from you and I was hearing all the updates and finally Joel sent me your link.
Jay, I share your feelings and Trey is also my hero. I'll be more than happy to autograph a ball for him althought it would be pretty worthless.
I seriously doubt that I could have gone through everything he's had to go through. Trey is without a doubt, the strongest and bravest young man I have ever met and as old as I am, I've met a lot of people.
Please give Trey and Christi a big hug and kiss from me and hugs to Jay and Dianne too. You both deserve a medal for your strength. I know it was your positive thinking that helped Trey get this far and will definitely help him in the days to come.
I'm so looking forward to seeing Trey's and Christi's great big smiles again. I'm thinking about them all the time. I have the beautiful Thank You card right on my desk where I can see it everytime I look up from my computer. I love it and I love both of them.
I now have your Blog in my Favorites (I have a folder called "Friends" and that's where you all are.
I am praying for all of you and Jay, you know that I don't do that often enough so God is up there saying, "Where have you been". Since I haven't asked for much in the past, I'm sure he'll really listen this time and go out of his way to remind me that prayers do work.

I am so glad to hear that Trey is doing better! I have to tell you that I just got the email with this website today so when i started reading your entries i started reading in reverse order and i started to panic! I thought he was getting worse instead of better! For once i was glad to know that i am computer illiterate! :) So how is the little trooper today? Any idea as to when he will come home? And how about food? When will he be able to eat? I have talked to Christie everyday and she seems to be doing pretty well. Has she still been staying with Grandpa? Maybe one day next week I can take her out to eat after school. If there is anything i can do to help now please don't hesitate to ask. Give Trey my love and tell him I'm thinking about him and praying for him. I love you all!
