And the results are in...

Posted at 19:36 in Family.

So 3 tests down and atleast 2 more to go. I've had a blood test, MRI, and an echocardiogram in less than a week.

The blood test show the hormone that the tumor produces is high, the hormones that the pituitary produces are extremely low.

The MRI shows that the tumor has grown. The last time I had a MRI the tumor was 1.8 cm. Today the result was that the tumor grew to 2.9 cubed. It has grown almost 3 times bigger than it was in January 2007.

The doctor said that it looks like the tumor hemeraged. There is blood inside of the tumor (beauty, a jelly donut, eh!).

Because of the size of the tumor and area that it is in is very small this has caused my headaches and forced the tumor against the optical nerve causing the blurry vision and headaches.

Next up, I am still waiting for the results from the EKG from today. Thursday I am going to hve a vision test and a an adrenaline test. The tumor has damaged the adrenal gland and I am not producing adrenaline. This test is to see if I can handle adrenaline hormone replacement. I have had this test before. It is just like getting a shot of adrenaline. It is almost fun because of the jolt I get with each injection. Kidding!

More later when I find out more.
